It‘s the biggest night of the year and you‘re going to try out a brand new hair–do? Don‘t! Before you startle your date with newly dyed tresses, frizzed bangs or a twisted twist that will leave your face pinched for the pictures—better take some advice from a been–there, done–that prommer.
Practice your prom night hairstyle weeks before the big night; don‘t perform any risky styles and think you‘ll wow the crowd—you may wow them with your weird hairdo.
Give yourself ample time to shop for a dress. Not—months (it‘s not a wedding, after all), but a few weeks should suffice. Trust your friends to advice you about what styles appear flattering to your body type.
Be careful with the makeup—if you overdue it far beyond what‘s normal for you, your friends are likely to call it clownish.
Wear shoes you can dance in and dress you feel comfortable about. If you spend half the night worrying about whether you can hold that strapless number up—it may not be the right style for you.
Bring along a disposable camera. You will want more snaps than a traditional photographer affords!
Decide before the night who pays for what—pictures, after prom–events and so forth.
Bring along plenty of money. If you‘re date turns out to be a lemon, you may want to find an alternate way home.
Hi Ashley,
Really nice tip about hair.
But, I think we should take the advice from Professional makeup artist as he knows better than us. After, we can do it by ourselves.
